Seodaemun-gu District (District Mayor Lee Sung-heon) announced that coach Park Chan-sook, who won the “2024 National Business Basketball Federation Match,” and the team and coaches will participate in a welcoming ceremony and car parade hosted by the district on the afternoon of the 23rd of this month.
Earlier, the Seodaemun-gu Office Women’s Basketball Team, led by head coach Park, beat Daegu City Hall, Sacheon City Hall, and Gimcheon City Hall in succession in the “2024 National Business Basketball Federation” held at Gimcheon Indoor Gymnasium in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do from the 12th to the 14th of this month, winning the title in a year.
In addition, coach Park Chan-sook won the Leader’s Award and Yoon Na-ri won the Most Valuable Player Award.
First of all, the welcoming ceremony will be held from 2 p.m. on the 23rd at the auditorium on the 6th floor of the district office, with the entry and introduction of the team, the delivery of the trophy, and the presentation of wreaths.
Then, 14 people, including coach Park, players and coaches, who were divided into three vehicles for about an hour from 2:30 p.m., will perform a car parade on major roads in Seodaemun-gu.
The section will be about 15 kilometers long, starting from Seodaemun-gu Office, passing in front of Eugene Shopping Center, Independence Gate, Yonsei-ro, Gajwa Station, and Myeongji Station to Hongje Falls in Seodaemun.
Seodaemun-gu Mayor Lee Seong-heon said, “We prepared a welcoming ceremony and car parade to congratulate and thank the basketball team for raising the honor of Seodaemun-gu and its residents and giving hope to ‘do it’ as the first victory of the inspiration.”
