Kim Min-byul, who won the Rookie of the Year award on the 2023 Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, did well ahead of the season.
Kim Min-byul’s agency, Galaxia SM, said on the 29th that “Kim Min-byul donated 20 million won to Severance Children’s Hospital.” Kim Min-byul’s donation will be used to improve various children’s projects or events for children and hospital facilities being promoted by Severance Children’s Hospital. 안전놀이터
Kim Min-byul said, “Since I was in junior high school, I wanted to donate if I could make money on my own. So while looking for a place to donate, I learned about Severance Children’s Hospital, and I decided to donate so that I could be of little help to children. I hope this donation will be helpful to the patient and his family, who are living in the hospital having a hard time.”
Severance Children’s Hospital said, “I thank Kim Min-byul for deciding on the donation. We plan to use the donation as precious money for the children.”
Kim Min-byul donated 5.95 million won in prize money received at the PLK Pacific Rings Korea Championship, his first tournament since his KLPGA Tour debut in the 2023 season, to the Kangwon Ilbo Social Welfare Corporation, followed by an additional 20 million won at the end of that year.
In addition, he is continuing to share warm love by donating 10 million won to Kyung Hee University, his alma mater.
Kim Min-byul will participate in the Doosan E&C We’ve Championship, the domestic opener of the KLPGA Tour in the 2024 season, which will be held at Teddy Valley Golf & Resort in Jeju from April 4.
