For KB Stars, Kim Min-jung had 15 points and three rebounds, and Heo Ye-eun had 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
The winner of the regular league was decided by KB Stars, but the match was highly anticipated as the two teams had a showdown. However, as KB Stars’ Park Ji-soo did not play to control his condition, the outcome was already decided before the match.
KB Stars replaced Park Ji-soo with Shin in a surprise move. Kim Min-jung and Kim So-dam were also excluded from the starting lineup to prevent injury and control their conditions.
On the other hand, Woori Bank’s key members, including Kim Dan-bi, Park Ji-hyun, and Park Hye-jin, stepped up normally.
Prior to the match, Coach Wi Sung-woo said, “Our main players did not have time to work together on the court regardless of the opponent team. We will use our members normally in order to work together.”
The game flowed at Woori Bank’s pace from the beginning to the end. Woori Bank, led by Kim Dan-bi and Park Ji-hyun, overwhelmed KB Stars in the attack.
Instead, KB Stars also showed a performance that was not far behind, with Yeom Yoon-ah, Kang Yi-seul and Heo Ye-eun at the center, although Park Ji-soo was missing.
Woori Bank, which led 46-31 in the first half, widened the gap with the triangle formation of Park Hye-jin, Kim Dan-bi, and Park Ji-hyun in the second half.
In particular, Park Hye-jin’s score, which did not have a shot until the first half, revived in the second half, making a smooth fastball play. On top of that, Woori Bank, which also scored Choi E-sam’s outer shot, widened the gap to 70-50 with six minutes left in the game.
Since then, the flow has not changed, and Woori Bank was confident of victory by putting Oh Ji-sung, Go A-ra, and Lee Myung-kwan in place of Kim Dan-bi, Park Hye-jin, and Choi Yi-sam with 3:36 left in the game.
