Madasom claimed her first career victory on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour at the OK Financial Group All-Men’s Open ($800,000).Madasom carded four birdies and one bogey for a 3-under 69 on the final day of play at the par-72, 6,713-yard Incheon Country Club on Sunday. With a three-day total of 15-under 201, Madasom birdied the 18th (par-5) on the first hole of a playoff with tour rookie Soi Chung to win the tournament’s $144,000 first prize .Madasom won twice on the Dream Tour, the second-tier tour in 2021, and was runner-up twice this year on the regular tour, but this is his first win .She finished runner-up in a playoff at the Korea Women’s Open in June and hovered around the winner’s circle with a runner-up finish at the Hiwon Resort Women’s Open in August .Madasom, a tour rookie last year, won for the first time in her 53rd career event .Madasom held a two-stroke lead before her tee shot on the 17th (par-4) got into the rough near a bunker and she made bogey, while Chung Soi birdied the final 18th (par-5) to tie for the lead .In the extended playoff, Madasom and Chung left birdie putts of similar distances, with Chung’s putt from about 2.5 meters going just wide left and Madasom’s calmly sinking a birdie from a little less than two meters.
