Cheongju on September 4 Participated in Teamerman

The 2023-24 season Korean Women’s Basketball League (WKBL) new player selection (draft) will be held at Cheongju Gymnasium in Chungcheongbuk-do on September 4th.

29 people applied for this draft

four more than last year. 

18 high school graduates

7 college graduates

2 players from the unemployment team

1 foreign nationality compatriot player

and 1 overseas active player.

Among them

who played for the youth national team such as the Under 17 (U-17) World Cup )

and Huh Yu-jeong (Bundang Business High School) stand out.

Along with this, Byun Ha-jeong (Bundang Business High School)

MVP of the Korean middle and high school basketball weekend league Wangjungwangjeon

is also aiming for a professional career.

 If Byun Ha-jeong is nominated by the club

she can play on the professional stage with her sister Byeon So-jeong (Shinhan Bank).

Among the prospective college graduates are this year’s College Basketball U-League MVP Kang Min-ji (Suwon University)

and Kwon Na-yeong (Ulsan University)

each team will be divided into two groups according to their regular league performance and postseason performance in the previous season and proceed with a lottery.
