Hosted by the Korea Professional Football Federation, Nexon, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the “GROUND.N Stove League in Jeju” was successfully completed by the Korea Professional Football Federation and Jeju United.

The “GROUND.N Stove League,” which marks its third anniversary this year, is part of a youth football support project jointly conducted by the Federation and Nexon, and is a program that supports youth teams’ winter training during the offseason.

This year’s “GROUND.N Stove League in Jeju” was held in Jeju City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, for a total of nine days from the 11th to the 19th of this month. A total of 12 teams participated in the event, including seven U15 teams under the K-League (Busan, Seoul E-Land, Suwon FC, Ulsan, Jeju, Chungcheongbuk-do Cheongju, Pohang), one team in Jeju (Jeju Jeiljung), and four teams invited from overseas (Oita Trinita in Japan, PVF in Vietnam, Persip Bandung in Indonesia, and Derren FC in Mongolia).

Participating teams had a meaningful time to experience a variety of programs, including soccer clinics, talk concerts, and cultural experiences, as well as soccer exchanges through training and games.

First, at the soccer clinic held on the 12th, Lee Keun-ho, Song Jin-hyung, Kim Won-il, and Yoo Hyun, former K League legend players, conducted one-point lessons for each position as daily coaches.

The talk concert held on the 14th received high attention as a total of 450 young players as well as parents attended, with Jeju United player Koo Ja-cheol and K League medical member Dr. Jeong Tae-seok as lecturers, and a friendly atmosphere continued throughout the concert.

On the 15th, FC Online Day was held at Nexon and all participating players and leaders were invited. Starting with the opening speech and training fund delivery by Nexon’s group leader Park Jung-moo, the event held a time to exchange various recreational activities, FC online games, and group viewing of the AFC Qatar Asian Cup.

In addition, the teams participating in the stove league spent a fruitful schedule in the Jeju area through various natural and cultural experiences, such as a tour of Jeju 4.3 Peace Park and Stone Culture Park.

In the future, the Korea Professional Football Federation will continue to work hard to develop youth soccer through continuous cooperation with Nexon through “GROUND.N.”
