20 WKBL FA recipients, including Jinan and Park Ji-hyun, will be disclosed

The Korea Women’s Basketball Federation (WKBL) confirmed 20 people eligible for the 2024 WKBL Self-Contractor (FA) on the 3rd.

A total of five FA players are eligible to exercise their first FA rights after their debut. They include Samsung Life Insurance’s Shin Yi-seul, Shinhan Bank’s Lee Hye-mi, Woori Bank’s Park Ji-hyun, Na Yoon-jung and Hana One Q’s Kim Dan-ah. The FA negotiation period, which has been reduced from 30 days to 20 days from this year, will be divided into three rounds. The first round of negotiations will run from 5 p.m. on Saturday to 5 p.m. on Saturday, the day after the award ceremony ends, and the second round will run from 5 p.m. on Saturday to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Players who fail to sign contracts for the first and second rounds will engage in the third round of negotiations with their original teams from Saturday to Sunday at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

If a person eligible for FA moves to another club, the original club may choose one compensating player (excluding a protected player) or cash compensation in accordance with WKBL FA regulations.
