Jukka Koskela from Finland has won the second European Masters of Poker season III title after topping a 309-strong field in Lisbon at the weekend.

He took down €72,615 for his victory in the €1,100 buy-in event at the Casino Estoril in Portugal.

The Finn defeated Asger Boye from Denmark heads up when bet 200,000 and Boye made it 475,000 in total. Koskela moved all in and Boye called, his 10s 10h needing to overtake Koskela’s Qc Qd, but failing.

Koskela joins fellow Finnish players Matias Knaapinen and Johanna Pyysing’s as an EMOP champion. Last year in Lisbon, Englishman Timothy Timotheau bested the 393-strong field to take down the €86,680 top prize.

The tour now gears up for its third stop in Crystal Crown Casino, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria from May 30 to June 5, 2011.
