Connecticut’s Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are among the many shuttered Native American gaming properties which are donating multiple pallets of food to the needy, especially those who recently lost jobs because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Most deliveries were made to food pantries in the past week for quick distribution, so perishable food remained fresh. Foxwoods Resort Casino gave more than 22,000 pounds of food to the Gemma E.
